Excel Graphics

(Note: The Charting Wizard in Excel 97/2000 and earlier versions of Excel differ slightly.

Using the spreadsheeet we created we will build a Chart that displays the values graphically.

From the Toolbar choose the ChartWizard button gwizbut

The shape of the cursor will change.
Now use the mouse to drag out an area from B7 to G19
(Note:this step is not required in Excel 97)

The following Dialog box or one similiar will appear.

Press the Next button to continue

The next dialog box allows you to select the Chart type .

Select the 3D chart and press the Next button

When the Format for Column chart appears press the Next button.

Press Next again when sample chart is displayed.

On the final dialog box select No legend and add a Chart Title 'Meals by City'

Press the Finish button to complete the process.

Your Chart should appear as follows.
