Home, Home on the Range

An important concept in using spreadsheets is that of a Range.

A Range is any rectangular block of adjacent cells.

Here are three examples of a Range

A Range can be as simple as a single cell (A1:A1),


A Range can be part of a row (a2:C2)


A Range can also be a block of cells (A1:C3).

We could also define the range for the third example as C3:A1.
